With all the talk of renovations happening this year at Potobello Yacht Club, I emailed my event planner to make sure my wedding reception for November 4,08 will not be affected. Well he told me that, yes, it will be closing for my recpetion! So now, I am in need of a new reception venue!

I am looking for anyplace on Disney property, since I want to wear my wedding dress (DUH), and I am not able to book anywhere in the parks since I am not having my ceremony on-site. :rolleyes1 I really thought I was all smart and had it figured out well...

Is there a nice place to have a luncheon reception that won't break the bank? I started looking at the opening times for resort restaurants, and many are only open for breakfast and dinner, or cost $$$!

I have been pulling my hair out all night, and figured that I should ask you, the Disney wedding EXPERTS! Can you point me in the direction of some nice venues??? TIA! :hippie:

I am having my post-ceremony luncheon at the Garden Grove restaurant in the Swan. I don't know how many people you have, but the Swan and Dolphin may be an option. Check out their website!

The menu is great, as are the prices, and they were Sooo much easier to work with than any other Disney restaurant I talked to. We have a group of only 20 people though....

We're having our ceremony at the Yacht Club, so we didn't want our guests to have to travel very far, I wanted to wear my dress, and we are on a tight budget!!

Others should have ideas as well! Good Luck!

What about the other restaurants on Downtown Disney, like Raglan Road and Fulton's? Those two also have private areas and/or rooms and can do special menus for groups at comparable prices to Portobello Yacht Club.

I am going to check out Raglan Road and the Swan restaurants, they might do the trick.

I was offered to switch to Fulton's, but I don't like fish...

I am even checking out some off-the-wall places now, like the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I adore the Wilderness Lodge, so having some of our photos taken there would be divine! I think our families would enjoy the sillyness of the restaurant. They really aren't gourmet eaters anyways.

Thanks for the info, I am starting to figure things out (again!)

Hi! I just wanted to say that we love Raglan Road so that would be a good choice.

Other restaurants that came to mind are Fresh or the Turf Club at SSR. Not sure how fancy you want it but the TC has a very nice patio for outside seating and a nice view of DTD.

Congrats and good luck!
