I say go deluxe!
You wont be sorry about going to WL. Its such a beautiful hotel and you are just a boat ride away from MK.

I moved my vacation from November to October so I could upgrade to The Wilderness Lodge. It only cost me a couple of hundred more and with the inclusion of the UPH it was worth it to me.

I've always wanted to stay at WL and since this is my first solo trip, I wanted to do it in style.

That being said if I have to stay in a moderate then POR (it'll always be Dixie Landings to me )is the only option for me.

Love the WL, great choice! When we stayed at the Wl we were on the 7th floor about half way down the hallway(the resort is U-shaped) that is opposite of the food court. This location was wonderful, we had a view of the lake, water parade at night, geyser, pool and waterfall! It was beautiful!!!

The 7th floor does have a solid balcony though and we had to stand to view things but it was nice for privacy, we left our sliding door cracked open at night to hear the waterfall. But if you want a regular balcony request the 6th floor or below, although I think the higher up the better view so I'd try for the 5th or 6th. I think the most important part is being farther from the main building so you can also view the waterfall because if you're closer you lose that part of the view.

For $300, I would definitely go with WL!!!!

We were originally booked to stay at POFQ during our Nov. 2001 trip, but then Sept. 11th happened and they closed POFQ. We were a little disappointed, but then we got upgraded to WL for just $93 for our entire stay. We fell in love with the WL and now can't imagine staying anywhere else. We didn't think we would be able to swing WL again anytime soon until the FTP came out. For $300 more the WL is definitely worth it. We love everything about the lodge and you will too.

I also strongly recommend the Wilderness Lodge. All I can say is, you'll understand when you get there!!!!!

How do you go about requesting a room; fax?

I know they do what they can but is that better then waiting until you get there?
