HELP! Poison Ivy....

Thank goodness I haven't had poison ivy in years (due to avoiding areas where it grows like the plague). I am one of those people who will be covered in it within a few hours.

My brother is into holistic medicine. He swears by this cure, which my sister-in-law has verified (worked for her when nothing else did): there is a weed called Jewel Weed that you grind up and smear on the infected area. He adds comfry to it.

Now, I have never tried it so I have no first hand experience with this cure. Jewel Weed grows where ever poison ivy grows, hence the reason I probably won't be trying this method out .

Thanks everyone for all the great tips! I finally went to the doc yesterday and he prescribed some Prednisone. Benadryl oral makes me so tired I feel like i've been a vegetable for the past few days. AHHH! It's a bit better thank goodness. I think I'm on the road to recovery! No more pulling up poison ivy for me - I'll gladly pay a landscaper!
