Help! POFQ or AKL Jambo?

We have a 4 night stay coming up 8/30-9/3 and have POFQ booked. I just realized that I can book AKL for $70ish more per night. We have stayed at AKL before and loved it but this would be our first visit to POFQ. Our plans are a late check in on Thursday night, MNSSHP Friday, water parks on Saturday and hanging around the hotel pool and Disney Springs on Sunday. My son is 7. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

We've stayed at both. Totally different feel between a deluxe and a moderate. POFQ is very nice, but the amenities don't stack up against a deluxe. If your son enjoys animals, AKL is hard to beat. And the pool area is nice. Boma is one of the best breakfast buffets at WDW. My vote is AKL.

If money isn't an issue, I would choose a deluxe over moderate any day (unless it was CR and I'd be on the fence with that one!). We loved AKL!
