We are coming to Orlando in June. We are a family of five. Three kids ged 1,7 and 9 years. We are purchasing our tickets sepertely so that is not a consideration. And we have accomadations from the 18th to the 25th but what I am looking for in my long winded way is a resort/hotel for our family to hang out at and vegetate for two days w/o parks or running about. Something reasonably priced with pools and fun for our family and kids in the Universal/WDW/Kissimee/Lake Buena Vista area.

TIA!

Also, I want someplace that we can stay on and never have to step foot off of for food, etc. We need some serious depressuring before our big week of Universal,Sea World etc!

Mine really liked the Holiday Inn Sunspree resort - think it's Lake B V area. We had a kids suite w/ a king bed for us, separated wall and 2 sets of bunkbeds & their own TV for them. That was a few years ago.

Maybe the new nickelodeon hotel, but I don't know anything about it.

You can't go wrong at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort! My family loved it. Camp Hyatt would be a great experience for the kids--building sandcastles on the beach area, bicycling through the resort (it's big), etc. Go to Hyatt's website and take a peek. :) We even took advantage of the private babysitting service for one night out at PI.

I would repost your question here you should get lots of opinions!

Here is mine...The hyatt grand cypress, although beautiful isnt reasonably priced, usually. Give it a try though,we love it maybe they have a special.

The new Holiday Inn Nick Hotel sounds like tons of fun but I fear way to stimulating for what you are looking for!

See what the JW Marriott is getting and also the Crowne Plaza Universal.

I would love to try The Residence Inn Seaworld...looks gorgeous! Gets terrific ratings too, have a look!

Have you considered the Royal Pacific. It has a great pool with water cannons, a basket ball net, volley ball net, and lots of free balls for the older ones to play with. It has a kiddie pool and also a zero entry area in the larger pool that is great for the baby. There is shuffle board, pool and ping pong tables all near the pool, and there are a ton of places to eat, both at the hotel and at Citywalk which is only about a 10 minute walk away, or you could take the boat.
