I am going back over the reservations that we have made for January, and I just can't make up my mind! We were going to do the dining plan, but have decided against it for a few reasons. Anyway, we have dinner reservations at Crystal Palace. I originally only booked this b/c we needed to fulfill one last ts meal and I figured my youngest (DS age 16 months at the time of the trip) would love the characters. Now I'm considering just canceling it. We've never been, although it seems to be a place I always think about every trip. I've also read some mixed reviews about the dinner so I'm not sure what to do. Part of me says just cancel b/c DS could hate the characters and we are already doing another character meal. Then another part says that he might really like it; DS2 HATED the characters at Chef Mickeys when he was the same age as my youngest, but LOVED the characters at Play 'n Dine the same trip. DH could care less, so really it's just up to me! So what would you do?

Not a big fan of the CP. It is always crowded. The food is ok. The characters are always very busy and don't spend much time with you.

You may get many more who say they love it. Have you considered Ohana?

And I am the one who's going to say that they love it! I'm a big Winnie the Pooh fan. :) I'm also not a picky eater. But I will agree that it can get very crowded there. A less crowded character meal would be Ohana or Hollywood & Vine.

Our kids are grown but we continue to go to Crystal Palace for the food, because it's delicious ... especially at dinner.

We thought we were the only ones who didnt love CP. Ohanas is fun. I agree

We love CP. We think the restaurant is pretty (at least when it is light outside I don't think we have ever been after dark), the characters cute, and the food good. We go there every trip.

I checked and there isn't an open time during our entire trip for Ohana's. Thanks for the suggestion though, we haven't been there either. I'm going to do some searching, see if I can come up with something and then decide if I should just cancel it all together and we'll just grab something that night. I have to change the reservation anyway b/c our park plans changed. So we won't even be at MK that day (actually I think it is booked the day I am doing Discovery Cove).

We love CP for an 8:05 am breakfast, the food is excellent, you get tons of character time and the restaurant is not that crowded...especially in January

After our last fiasco at CP dinner we will not go back there..the food was way too salty, the characters were in a rush and the noise level and crowds were intolerable.
