Ok I could just be paranoid but i have this group of "friends" that are always doing things I consider mean and all of it is directed to me. The things they do are: at parties these same two girls start texting me with a phone I don't have in my phone as a boy and they know I hate ke$a music and love 80s music so they blaste Kesha music and I have to leave the room cause I can't stand it. So would you consider that mean or do u think they are trying to be funny???

Not that I am a teen.....
Sweetie, find yourself another group of friends. Even if they are being funny, if they are your friends and know you don't like certain things they shouldn't shove them at you. I think they are being mean spirited and that's not something friends do.

Isn't there anyone else you can hang out with or have your same interests? It sounds like these two aren't there for you and you don't deserve to have them make fun or poke fun at you.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't like it.

i would love to get new friends but i live in a small town and there arn't many girls in my class. I also have other friends and they were ingouraging it and those are the only girls in my class i have 1 or 2 friends that are older than me and we live in a podunk town so no one shares my intrests. i have been told i have "city taste" and that shows how small the town is. the only way to find new friends here is to go out of town and that is hard for me

I understand the feeling. If you want, I'll be your friend here. I don't like Kei$ha either, but I'm not really up to date on 80s music, though I don't mind learning about it. (No pun intended.) I don't think they sound like good friends, though either way. It's tough when you're put in a position like that. I can relate since I don't have many friends that share interests with me, and I'm stuck in the same area with no-where to go. I think those girls aren't being real friends, and I'd personally slowly cut away from them. Lately, I myself have had to do that to quite a few girls who weren't nice and had also been sending me mean text messages. Maybe telling them to stop outright may help, too. And if they continue after that, they probably aren't much good for you. Real friends will understand your feelings, and those feelings are what matter. Though our positions are different, maybe this'll help you in some way. Always remember that someday, these people from your teen years won't matter much at all. That's what I tell myself everyday. I hope this helps. :)

thank you that helps alot 80s music is awesome you should learn about it well if you want to this is all great advice thank you so much

Sure, no trouble. ^^ I hope it helps. As for 80s music, I'd totally be interested if you knew some good alternative bands. I think the Cure and Pink Floyd are 80s, but I'm not sure, sorry. :confused3 I must say that Pink Floyd scares me a tad. XD I think that's hard to do since I listen to MCR, though. Huh.

Find some friends who have the same interests as you. There are tons of guys and girls out there who love the '80's and hate Ke$ha. Once in a while blasting Ke$ha as a joke can be funny, but if it annoys you and they do these things a lot then they don't care about you

I'd like to comment that finding friends isn't always easy. Espically when you're surrounded by the same people all the time. Although I'd love for it to be just as simple as to say "find some friends who have the same interests as you", I've found it's not. Sure, someday there will be more people, but currently there may not be, so that's why you always have to look ahead to the good times. And I quote a song in saying "When we are older you'll understand what I meant when I said "No, I don't think life is quite that simple."

i agree and especially when in this town if you dress diferently your wierd and i dress different so people want nothing to do with me finding friends here at all is very hard

I know, right? I've had my clothes defaced by people because I dress differently. But I think dressing different is good. It shows you're unique and don't pay fifty dollars to have Abercrombie plastered on everything from your head to your butt. (I'm a big anti-prep kind of person.) I'm not going to pay tons of money to advertise for an already over priced company. Stay unique and true to who you are.

i will i even think that next year my back to school outfit will be one of those huge 80s skirts ya know i've already worn alot of jewlry like they did and i agree with the ambercrombie thing its over priced and they don't need more advertisement
