Ok i'm no good at this sort of thing, Matt used to work at tesco but he left in October. They have just sent his Share certificate through and i was wondering what do we do with it? lol

Not entirely sure - I am assuming he is entitled to some shares for the amount of time he spent working for them. Unless he wanted to sell his shares, you just hang on to the certificate and he should get a dividend payment every so often (DH's Santander shares pay out every quarter).

My husband used to work part time at Tesco and sold his shares when he left. That paid for our first Dismey trip:goodvibes He was due one more share though and that one wasn't worth selling. So every December he gets a dividend cheque. Last year it was for 7p:rotfl2:

He earned shares when he was working for them, they have taken off some shares for tax and then sent us/him (mwahahahaha) out the certificate, we want to sell the shares (obvious reason ie. disney:lmao:) Do we take it to the bank?

My husband sold his through his bank which was Lloyds.

A word of warning, you may only be able to sell the shares at certain times of the year dictated by the company. Try contacting the issuer of the certificate. When I sold my Sainsburys one I went with who dealt with them, it was cheaper then going elsewhere.

I don't think they can be sold in the branch

I think you have to keep them a certain amount of time before you sell. Try and use a place that you don't need to pay commission. Can't remember who we use but think its in USA.

Don't worry guys i have found the site that issued us with the Share certificate and we can do it online through them and they will put it straight into Matts Bank account within 10 days :thumbsup2

Thanks for the help x
