I've never sold on e*bay before...I'm selling a Mrs. Potts costume...it's clearly stated on the page that "will not send out of the US"....the person that won the bid...is in FRANCE.....this thing is gigantic...there's no way I can send it to France for $20. :sad2: What do I do??? Can someone please help...this was going to be my pocket money for the Food and Wine Festival. I'm just sick about it and don't know what to do...

Did you have any other bidders? If so you can contact the winner from France & tell them you do not ship out of the US as clearly stated in your listing, and then do a "Second Chance Offer" to the next highest bidder.

Yup, that's exactly what I was going to say!

I just told my daughter...she said it'd probably be cheaper to buy the stupid thing a seat on an airplane than to mail it to France....:rotfl2:
this was fun while it lasted, but now I'm a nervous wreck over it....:sad2:

You did nothing wrong. The bidder didn't follow the rules.

The other option is to offer her actual shipping charges + winning bid.

Personally I would NOT offer to ship it. Halloween is just around the corner and with customs and Large items and/or postal delays, why take the chance of having someone complain they could not wear it ....ex.: to the school party......two weeks earlier?
If your auction stated no shipping outside US, just send a polite note to the buyer stating that although you appreciated their bid, you clearly indicated that you would only ship within the US. Then indicate that you will therefore be unable to conclude a sale with them. Be sure to only use EBAY to communicate thru as they can then track your conversations if there is any quibble.
Sorry you had this experience, some people just "try" to get sellers to do it, OR they are new themselves and did not read thru the auction.
Good Luck, hope you had another bidder to offer it as a second chance too!
