Hi I've just booked a studio at VWL for first week in september. I would really like to be as close to the main building as possible and not stuck down the end of the corridor at the villas...Having never been Iam not sure how I should have worded this request..I asked for Low floor..close to lobby..pool view.:) ...What do you think?
I no its not guarranteed but I can try...when i say close to lobby..if they think i mean the villas lobby will this still put me close to the main building?:) :thumbsup2

I'd just say 'close to main building'. You're right, I think 'close to lobby' would be interpreted as the lobby of the villas building. It's not terribly far from the lobby, but not the closest, either.

Make sure you list your requests in order of importance, as the closest villas to the main building do not overlook the pool. They have a view of the path that runs from the main building back to the pool.

There are a very small number of villas that have a pool view, most overlook the woods or the path.

I totally agree with Lynne. I was there in Jan and my request was to be close to the main building and that is exactly what I got: First floor studio with a patio facing the path between the two buildings. The patio did have landscaping for a little bit of privacy. It was fine for DD10 and me but if DH was there I would have requested a change, he likes his balcony. The room was extremely conveinent to the bus stop since an entrance was one door away. This hallway is very small and only has four rooms only on one side. And it wasn't far from the laundry room either.

Another way to word it would be "close to elevators" as there is only one set of elevators and they are at the end of the building close to WL.

the pool is in a different place.

you want close to the main building - say that only!!!

there is a exit door really, really close - you are even closer.

I think I was in the same studio last March. OP, this is the closest possible studio to the main building. There's a little bit of the villas building that extends back towards the main building. To get to this studio, you don't go all the way to the main door of the villas building, you go about halfway down the path to the villas and then turn left. There's a separate entrance there. It's right opposite the path to the bus stop. It's super-convenient, close to the buses and the main bldg. You're only a few steps from either.
