Hi guys,

Need some help please regarding disneys magical express at wdw. We received all our travel documents today and it said we would have our magical express details inside, but I can't seem to find them. I know when I booked it was included in our package but I'm not sure how it works. We got our luggage tags if that has anything to do with it, but I am really clueless about this if I'm honest. We're due to fly into orlando international on the 12th June.

Thanks in advance:confused3

what airline are you flying?

if orlando is your entry airport into the US, then you will have to pick up your luggage to clear through customs.........
then if you want magical express to take your bags, you will put your bags back to be collected by ME..
if you'd rather take your luggage to the bus yourself, you can also do that.

here is the instruction from the disney website:

International Guests flying into Orlando International Airport from another country must follow the U.S. Customs and Border Protection process and claim luggage after disembarking the plane. After completing the process, proceed to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building, B side, Level 1. Disney's Magical Express service will recollect your luggage and deliver it directly to your Walt Disney World hotel room within 4 hours after you check in at the resort. Luggage delivery service provided by Disney's Magical Express is available for flights arriving between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm daily. For airport arrivals after 10:00 pm, Guests may collect their luggage at Baggage Claim and transport it with them on the motorcoach.

Did you book through Disney UK? I thought that you had. You don't get luggage tags so I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say luggage tags. You should have a voucher (it's only one voucher for your entire party under the name of the lead guest/passenger on your booking).

Although it would be assumed that you have ME booked since you did flight inclusive, you still need to add it. The CM who made your reservation should have asked but ME is the one thing that I have always had to call and add. I have made 3 such calls on this booking and have email confirmations from ME, but my online booking does not show it so it could be a system glitch. You are not too late to add it, but you will need to call to make sure they have your names, party size and flight details

Great thanks for that, I'll call them in the morning:)

think it has to be added at least 10 days prior to arriving.
info they require
Hotel confirmation number of were your staying(to confirm you are staying onsite)
Flight number for arrival into MCO(this is mainly for the luggage tags but being international they don't send out any-more)
For trip back they will need the hotel your staying at
Flight number out of MCO (even if using a connection its classed as international so pick up 4 hours before)
If you don't receive any vouchers don't worry, just take booking confirmation to the ME desk and they will give you some, these are required for the buses so they get there payment from Disney(mainly the return trip)

I didn't get a voucher with my travel documents, but have already booked ME and have a confirmation no. Do I still need to pick up a voucher from the ME desk?

even if you have a voucher would go to the desk,as i stated above the voucher is for the bus driver to hand in end of the day, this way mears(who operate ME) get paid, they usually only ask for voucher on the return trip.the people at the desk will let you know which line to take

Thanks I'll check with the CMs at the Welcome Center then. Just read through my ME confirmation again and it says that the day befor departure you will receive a Transportation Notice, this is your voucher to be provided to the bus driver at boarding. So we should be alright then, but will check.

I didn't use my vouchers for ME. I did have them but didn't bother to fish them out of my document wallet at the airport. I just gave them my name and told them my reservation number and resort and they called my details up on the system. I did this the last two years in a row and both times had no problem. They actually printed the voucher for me to give to the ME driver right there - on both occasions.

They day before you check out an envelope will be left on your room door with all your departure details and pick up times on it. I believe the voucher is in there although I could double check if I have put them where I think I have :)

Its all sorted, apparently because we're on a flight inclusive holiday the magical express is automatically included.

We are going in a week - we have a ME voucher - booked via Disney UK. We only need them for the return trip though as going to Universal first so getting a towncar from MCO to US.

We usually go to Universal at the end of the trip so go to the desk at MCO first.

Will they know that we have only booked the return or will we still have to check into the desk at MCO when we land - even though our towncar will be waiting for us probably in a different location?

When you check in at your Disney resort you can confirm with them your using ME to return home,no kneed to do it at the airport

Hello, does anyone know how long it takes to get from MCO to Wilderness lodge on Magical Express? Thanks :)

There is no definite answer to this. We work on a 'worst case scenario' of 2 hours from landing but it has never been that long. It depends on a variety of factors:

  • How long you have to wait for your bus to fill up
  • How many resorts your bus is going to stop at
  • Where your resort happens to fall in the order of the route for that day

It only takes about half an hour from MCO to WDW resort but it is the waiting times and loading and offloading of passengers and luggage that determines how long it really takes.

Longest we have had has been about 90 minutes.

Quickest was under an hour from touchdown.
