Help please with Dining Plan and booking CRT

This will be my first visit using the DP. Can someone tell me if I book CRT, do I still need to prepay by CC for the reservation? Will I be able to book at the 180 + 10 online for that? I feel if I have to wait to call, I probably won't get the reservation. TIA!

I'm not 100% sure on the 180 + 10 mark (mine was made already inside our 180 window). MDE was smart enough to recognize our DDP online. It allowed me to choose the radius button of guaranteeing with our DDP credits vs paying with a CC. What's even more user friendly was when I wanted to change the reservation time a week later. While it didn't give me an option to modify that existing reservation, it allowed me to make a new one still using DDP credits guarantee (which was neat to me since by then we had already booked all our credits in ADR's) in order for me to secure the replacement reservation before I cancelled the 1st one. If you do try and book online, and it wants to charge your credit card for pre-pay, you can go ahead and let it do a pre-pay charge and then call Disney and they will change it to being held with your DP and refund your card for the pre-payment.

When I made our reservations online in December for our trip in May (using 180+10), it allowed me to indicate I was paying for CRT using dining credits and did not charge my credit card. I still had to enter a credit card guarantee, but there was no charge put through.

I was going to ask the same question since my 180 day mark comes in a couple of weeks. I was going to make my ADRs online except for CRT, i was going to call at 7 but I will try online and see what happens.
