Help please park reservations

Please can you advise whether you have to purchase Disney world tickets before you can book a reservation at the parks. This query is because we are coming to Disney World on 31st March hopefully, from the UK but haven’t bought our tickets in case we cannot come to Disney yet again. Our flights and accommodations are completely refundable but not sure what would happen to any tickets purchased. Thank you so much.

You can't make park reservations unless you have tickets.

No tickets=no park reservations, tickets are non-refundable but if you have bought date based tickets and not used them, disney will help you transfer them to other dates, you would just have to pay the difference, if any, between when you bought them, time of year, and price increases. i.e. we had date based tickets for Sept 16-23, 2021. Our tow vehicle broke down on the way to disney, had to cancel the trip, I just changed the tickets last week to Sept 27-Oct 4, 2022. No problem and there was a $96 total difference for 2 tickets ($48 per ticket).

Thank you both so much, I thought that was the case but couldn’t find the details anywhere. We will buy our tickets asap and get booking. If unfortunately we cannot go, great that we can transfer our tickets as we will definitely be back to Disney when we can. Missed it so much !

We're also in the UK (and also hopefully coming 31 March (!)). I got tickets from Attraction Tickets and paid a small fee for total flexibility- can be cancelled etc. I have already rolled them over once from October but I could get a total refund if necessary.

Brilliant I will do that too. It’s exciting but scary isn’t it. Are you flying from Heathrow on 31st?

Yes- Heathrow. Won't believe we're actually going until we've got negative tests etc!
