Help, please...? on bill, charged for TA commission?? This makes NO sense to me

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...something smells funny!

I just have to say that I used AAA for years for our WDW trips (still use them for plane tix because of our AAA credit card discount & vouchers). I use DU now, because they really are the WDW experts.

Anyway, never had a communication problem with the three AAA agents I used, all of them were professional and good with follow up. Several times, they went the extra mile to get us a better deal. Also, EVERY TIME my credit card had to be charged for any reason I was faxed an authorization form to sign.

While I was reading this thread I kind of thought things sounded fishy - but who knows. All I know is that I had my debit card # stolen and it was used without my knowledge. If their cc was used unauthorized I too would file I police report (as I did in my case) it is best to have these things documented with the proper authorities - who knows how many times this has happened before.

Also, I would have gone to the AAA office in person and spoke with the manager on duty. They should be able to provide copies of the transaction they made with the cc and proper documentation of why they made the transaction there in that office. I would also file a complaint with AAA about the TA not returning calls and making unauthorized charges once I found out exactally what happened (if this was the case!!).

After having my debit card # stolen (not the card) - I have been researching this more and more - this is a more widespread occurance than I had imagined! Please be diligent with your cc and debit card accounts and watch for any unusual things. Live and Learn :sad2:

I find it very strange that this person hasn't reported back and also answered another thread saying that he/she is taking a travel agent at home course

I don't find it that strange, as the OP is leaving for vacation in 2 days and hasn't posted anywhere in a while. I'd guess she's just very busy.

I'm not sure why taking a travel agent course has anything to do with this thread. Lots of us are interested in travel! Taking a travel agent course wouldn't stop you from using an agent or from having a problem with one.

I hope this got worked out and that princess cyan will give us an update after her trip (or sooner).

A lot of folks here have been "burned" by posters who have an agenda...bad mouthing a certain service provider, for example. Not bashing the OP, just being wary. :)

:) Well, people here complain about AAA all the time, no need to start a special thread for it!

I could be too logical, but it seems to me that since AAA (and all travel agencies, really) is a local/individual thing, it wouldn't do much good to bash them as a company.

It is just that if she is taking a TA course she should at least have an idea of how the commissions work. It does explain it in the courses. My sister in law just took one

Not to say she didn't have a problem
