Hiya

I'm new to wedding planning lol I have had my engagement ring a grand total of 4 days lol and Im planning a wedding!

I have 26 guests (including 5 bridesmaids) so it will have to be a custom Disney wedding. I have a few questions if thats ok with you,

Oh and I'm Anna by the way, and dbf is Christopher.

We have definatly decided on the 20th February 2008 (we were looking at october to please some family members but decided we should do the dates that are special to us, and thats the day we met.

I have called Disney weddings and a planner is calling me back in February 2007 to start booking things,

So heres the questions

I know you have to stay at Disney, but how many days? as we will be staying two weeks ourselves. but I am thinking that I ready ou need 24 days? so can another family member book a room and that count towards it?

Do I have to book the rooms direct through disney or can I use a travel agent?

Wheres best to stay?

What things can I book as a treat for Chris? and for a treat for me and my sisters the day before?

W are wanting the wedding Pavillion, with Cinderellas coach is that hard to get?

Also picture in the park before hand, is that on the day of your wedding?

I dont really know what to do for a reception? I was thinking the california grill is that possible?

Also how do I book bhair and make up for me, and hair for my mum, bridesmaids and sisters?

lol alot of questions I know, but Im excited

I'm just subscribing as we are planning ours for oct 08 and would love to know alot of the answers to the questions!

Have you been on the wishbook? Thats a great source to show you where you can have receptions etc

some brides only stay a few days before and leave right after.

so can another family member book a room and that count towards it?

You will have a min based on the number of guests. Probably 25 room nights for you. So if you are staying 14 days that counts. And your family can make reservations, you give disney their confirmation number and that counts

Do I have to book the rooms direct through disney or can I use a travel agent?

they can use a travel agent

Wheres best to stay?

that is a personal preference. if you go to allears.net they have lots of info on the different resorts.

What things can I book as a treat for Chris?
(my DF's name is Chris too!) I would look at the disneyworld.com site to see the choices. we are doing golf the day before for the guys.
and for a treat for me and my sisters the day before?
you can do Tea at the GF or a spa treatment.

W are wanting the wedding Pavillion, with Cinderellas coach is that hard to get?

you should be fine with the time you are there as long as you are flexible.

Also picture in the park before hand, is that on the day of your wedding?
you can book it anytime during your stay i believe. some do it the day before, some the day of, some a few days after.

I dont really know what to do for a reception? I was thinking the california grill is that possible?

just look at the disneyfairytalewedding site and it shows some of the choices. just talk to your wedding planner when they call. they will give you more ideas. Yes the CG is very possible.

Also how do I book bhair and make up for me, and hair for my mum, bridesmaids and sisters?

Do a search for hair and make up on here and the people that do it will come up. There is even a poll going on, on who to get hair done by.

Hope this helps alittle. Have fun. Ask away.

lol alot of questions I know, but Im excited

Have fun!

Hi Anna!

Saw your post and thought id say hi! Congrats on the engagement!

Cant help you out too much on the Wedding Pavillion or Cinderellas coach as i got married at the YC.

The room nights can be met by anyone in your family, so anyone staying on property will count. I had 26 people go and managed to meet the 24 nights no problem with just a few staying onsite! You can book the rooms anyway you want but Disney give a discount on the rooms so check it out first. I got a better deal that way than through a UK agent!

For a custom, you don't have a min. number of nights you have to stay, but you have a min. room block you have to meet. It sounds like with the number of people and the number of nights you'll be staying, you won't have a problem with that. (If I'm wrong, someone please correct me)

You do not have to book through Disney for them to count towards your room min. But sometimes Disney has better rates with their discounts or packages, so check out both! And ask a lot of questions to your planner!

The best place to stay would be a personal prefrence and I love the Poly, but some people swear by the GF. It's up to you, I recomend going to disney's web site and checking out the different resorts. They have a great virtual tour that might help!

Some sweet things for DF and DS and BMs are some of the spa packages or tea parties. (tea parties prob best for the girls, as most men don't really care for those) Also, there are some gift baskets you can have delievered to their rooms as a special thank you!

I believe as long as you're flexible with your time (you don't have to have a specific time), you can get the WP and the coach without a problem.

The pic in the park, are you refering to the MK photo session? If so, those can be taken at any time during your stay. they are taken in the morning before the parks open.

I do believe you can have the Cal. Grill, but like the other poster suggested, check out the wishbook for more ideas.

There are a list of cosmotologigist that Disney gives you to choose from or you can find your own. (the ones they give you do great work, as you will see from most of the posters on this board!)

I hope this this helps, good luck with the wedding planning, it's a lot of work, but sooooo much fun!
