Help please how to request and where

We are leaving in 41 days and was wondering if I can request an area to stay on the member site for both Wilderness lodge in a studio and BLT in a one bedroom lake view.or is it best to phone them.
Also which areas would you request? At wilderness lodge I am not too fussed as it all looks lovely but as it is my first trip since my partner died I wanted a decent view? Can anyone suggest a specific area of BLT? I have heard people mention north and south facing but not sure what this means? Is it better to ask for a higher floor?

Sorry for your loss.

At VWL, most views are woods. We do like the resort, but we haven't stayed there in about 7 years. It's a nice, relaxing time there.

We've been staying at BLT the last few trips with the grandkids, great nieces, and our two year old niece and nephew this May. Our requests have been for the north tower. You may want to request a high floor. There's a thread on these boards that shows the rooms by type, number, and view. Some have pictures.

Sorry for your loss and hope you enjoy this trip!
I work in technology, yet I find that for room requests, I have more faith in dealing with a cast member.
For BLT, you have to specify the view...Standard, Lake or Theme Park.
Don't get caught in the view for BLT. Regardless of where your room is, you can always find a great spot for fireworks. We watched from outside, the Top of the World lounge and the SkyWay that connects BLT to the Contemporary.

Call MS to make any requests. As for VWL, like wdwnut says, most views are trees, trees and more trees. Sometimes you can get the pool or a bit of the lake through the trees.

For BLT, you might request even number room. That could give you a bit of the MK view. And not right inside the C (which I found very noisy).
