Can anyone help me with time management? It's my first time planning a trip and I'm unsure how long it takes to get from CBR to parks and restaurants. I will be making my ADRs in 30 days so I'm trying to figure out details.

We are staying at CBR and I'm trying to find out how long on average it takes to get to the following:

Magic kingdom
Chef Mickey
Crystal palace
Animal kingdom
Hollywood studios

We would like to be at magic kingdom at least one day for rope drop also. How early should we start?
I am new to the planning scene and this forum so I'm sorry if this is a strange question. I don't know where else to ask lol :)

Oh yeah, we are driving so we will have a car. But we will be happy to use the busses too

As a general rule we allow 90 minutes to get anywhere on property especially when using WDW transportation. Yes we usually get places earlier than we need to but that is far less stressful for me than running late while waiting on a bus. When driving you can usually cut that down to 60 minutes but we have been caught in some pretty bad traffic situations there too so we usually still go with our 90 minute rule from resort door to destination.

Hello friend:

Here are the approximate times:
Magic kingdom: ~20 minutes
Chef Mickey: You will have to travel to Magic Kingdom first and then either take the monorail (~20 minutes) or walk (~10 minutes) to the Contemporary resort.
Crystal palace: same as the Magic Kingdom as the restaurant is located inside the Magic Kingdom
Animal kingdom: ~20 minutes
Hollywood studios: ~20 minutes

Remember that all these times are approximate. You will also have to take into consideration the time it takes you to walk or take the bus within your resort depending on where you end up staying within the resort to the main bus station leaving to the parks.

For rope drop in general, buses run 60-90 minutes before park opening and 60-90 minutes after park closing. There is a 15-20 minutes show before the doors open to the MK so you should also take this time in consideration. Check park hours at http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm to check park hours for the day you are planning to visit MK to plan ahead.

Hope this helps and feel free to contact me again should you have more questions or concerns.

Have a magical trippixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:
