Just upgraded family as a surprise for June trip from Paradise Pier to Disneyland Hotel Deluxe(pool view). We go to Disney world every year( we can drive, pricey to fly 5 to California), this is our one and possibly only trip to Disneyland for the 6oth Anniversary. We are a family of 5, kids 14, 11, and 6. Will be hitting parks hard because only there 4 nights. Any advice on best tower to be in, I tried reading up on it on tripadvisor, but this seemed like the right place to ask? Really wanted to upgrade to Grand Californian until I read we could get stuck with a sleeping bag instead of a daybed for the 5th person( I sleep in the daybed- no way I will do a sleepng bag at over $500 a night)

We stayed in the Fantasy Tower. We didn't have the pool view but it didn't really matter, we weren't in the room much anyway. It was really nice because we had a prefect view of the Fireworks show when it went off.

Another vote for the Fantasy Tower. View of fireworks and the shops in the lobby.

If you have a pool view room booked you won't get fireworks view from Fantasy or Adventure tower....the pool view rooms in Frontier tower technically face the right way but I would think most of the view would be obstructed by the other towers- I could be wrong-maybe someone will correct me.

Adventure tower is closest to DTD/walk to the park with Fantasy tower a close second. Frontier tower is a bit farther away. From what you've described park proximity would be the biggest factor for me so I'd go with either of those.

Add another recommendation for Fantasy Tower. Deluxe rooms will be a lower level pool view, so you wouldn't be able to see fireworks from there.

Make sure you check out the lobby areas for the Adventure Tower and the Frontier Tower- both have some really cool items there- such as a full miniature scale model of the BTMRR.

We stayed in the Frontier tower, with a premium view. We were on the 11th floor facing the pool, but we could clearly see DTD and Disneyland Park.

Walking to the Frontier tower really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Is it a longer walk than Fantasy or Adventure? Yes, but not enough to make a huge difference.

We had a blast at DLH. It was so worth the money.

We are partial to the adventureland tower. It's the closest to downtown disney and the parks.
