Help please - contacting WDW about a 'strange' credit card charge??

OK, I got to talk to someone at WDW this morning, they returned the message I left at Research & Billing last night. They told me I have to call Guest Services for Dining (407-934-7639 in case anyone needs it - not a direct # though).

Called Dining got CM Bill on the phone, he wasn't sure he could help, but found someone that could and passed me to CM Gordon in Dining Guest Service. He was able to find all the details for me. There was apparently a reservation under my name and credit card for Akersuas (sp) for another day and since we didn't show (didn't even know we had a reservation, and I planned very detailed for this trip) we got charged a $10 no show fee per person - whether they were paying customers (infants) or not. I then talked to Kristin at Akersuas as only they can reverse the charge. She got all of the details and processed the refund right away.

The thing I was most happy about was that they didn't dispute my resquest. I could easily have made a ressie and realized later that I didn't cancel it and they could have said tough luck, they didn't and I really appreciated that.

Things like this show me further that Disney needs some way for people to track their dining reservations online. If I could have seen all my ressie's in one place I would have seen this mistake very early on. I feel bad that a table was booked stopping others from enjoying a meal at this facility, which I hear it great.

BTW, yes it cost me for the phone calls, I am in Canada too, so I'm probably out $4 for them, but it is still worth it. After all I could have found out that the charge was legitimately mine after all.

So thanks everyone for all of your help and thanks WDW for great CM's who dealt with this in a very pleasnt, very professional manner.

The mystery is solved. :wizard:

You can ask for a complete printed list of your ADRs for the total trip at any WDW resort Concierge Desk or Guest Relations office.

We always ask when we check in, so we know if our ADRs are all in-place at the right times.

Congrats on getting this resolved!

O.K., now I would be questioning who used my name and credit card # to book a reservation...:confused3

Or do you think that when you made your ADR's it was mistakenly put in by a CM??

Awesome to know, I had no idea.. Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Vicki, glad to hear everything worked out!! :goodvibes

I'm glad it was resolved too. I bet it was an inadvertent mistake done by dining ... not someone getting a card and making a dining reservation. I don't see how that would do anything for a criminal ...
