Help planning

So my parents and me and my two kids, ages 3 and 5, are planning a vacation to Florida and we are going to take two days to go to Disney the second week of April. I’d love to spend one at magic kingdom and one at Hollywood studios. I have Not been to Disney since I was 13 so I would love advice on traveling and itinerary. Especially with COVID, I didn’t know how much things have been affected or what planning I can do now to prepare. Also just how many rides you guys think are feasible in a day without being too chaotic. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciate. I want to make the most of the day but also am traveling with two toddlers lol

I am a big fan of touringplan.com ($16 subscription). They have touring plans for families with young children, you copy their plans, plug in your dates, add or subtract things and they give you an optimized order and tips for your day. They include breaks and meal times you can customize. I subscribe every year that I go to Disney. They keep up to date on opening times, if fastpass is being offered, etc. too. And, of course, with little ones you'll play it by ear (catering to them - stopping and enjoying the little things). I still think it helps though to have a plan even if followed loosely. Their time studies and plugging this stuff in shows you how much might be feasible in a day (gives you reasonable expectations). I like to have some slack time in their too (time at the end of the day to get to things we maybe didn't get to or to do repeats of a favorite.) They have ratings of all the attractions by age group and that includes toddlers. // You can plan now, go back and do an update closer to the trip, and even the day before. They are in the parks every day, keeping up on everything. There is an app too with wait time on rides that we have found to be way more accurate than what Disney posts.
