MY DH and I are surprising our girls - DD6 and DD10 with a week long trip to WDW. We recently decided to add Sea World as our first day. We plan to spend most of 11/27 and expect to get there when they open. We will probably leave by to get settle in our room at WDW. I am hoping must sees and any tips on getting the most out of my 7-8 hours at SW - thanks!

I'm sure others will respond too, but here are some thoughts:

We love this park, and I think you'll have a great day. I would start off by either going to Dolphin Cove and paying the extra $7 pp to feed the dolphins. This is really run, and they are most active in the morning. Or if you like roller coaster, I'd do the newest coaster the Manta first before the line gets long and then go to Dolphin Cove. Pick up a show schedule on your way in too -- pick three shows you'd like to see and arrange your day around the shows, seeing animal exhibits near the shows in between. Usually for us Sea World is really a fun day and typically doesn't take as much planning as a Disney park.

You might want to spend a little time at Shamu's Happy Harbor too. It's an unbelievable play area that is great for all elementary aged kids including older elementary aged kids.

Thanks for your help this certainly does get me going in the right direction! I know my whole family will want to feed the dolphins. :)

We went to Sea World on Sunday and had a wonderful day there! We purchased the All-Day Dining Deal. It was a great value! They are running a $5 fall special, so it was $24.99 for adults and $9.99 for kids. We have annual passes, so they took an additional 10% off that! It was so nice! Every trip up to the participating counter service restaurant we were permitted, one entree, one side or dessert, and a non-alcoholic beverage. We could go up in the line as many times as we wanted, and it was ok to just get a drink or get a full meal. Definately worth it, if you are staying all day.

You'll love SW; it's a beautiful and relaxing park.

Principal Attractions (there are many others) :

- Shows : Clide and Seamore it's very fun, don't miss it. There's also the dolphin and Shamu shows.

- Coasters : Manta and Kraken are great coasters.

- Rides : Atlantis is like Splash Mountain : you can get very wet, but is very fun. Polar Artic Expedition is a simulator but if can avoid it and do only the walk-on to see Polar Bear and other animals.

- Animals : Don't miss the penguins, the sharks, the stingrays tank . Feeding the dolphins (they have times to do this) is the best opportunity to have a close interaction with them. It's not very cheap but my kids love doing this.

- Playground : There is a nice place to play with attractions designed to the small ones - Shamu's Happy Harbor - there is a Shamu coaster , etc

Hope this helps... ;)
