I currently have a florida "vacation" scheduled for the last week of February. My fiance and I are planning to move down to Florida in the next 6 months or so and are primarily going there to check out some potential neighborhoods, towns, employment etc. However, I cannot just drive past Disney and pretend it is ok, because it would not be. So I have secretly planned a 3 night stay at CBR and will be visiting parks for 2 days. MK on the first day, and AK and EPCOT on the 2nd. Now my fiance has never been anywhere near Disney and I will not be telling him about my plans until we pull into the parking lot of CBR. I would really just like some tips on how to get him thinking about the trip/ wishing it was something we could do to ensure he will be excited when we get there. But I need to do this without ruining the surprise. Any ideas on how to get him excited while keeping the secret?

Hey! Welcome to the DIS! I've never planned a surprise trip for someone, but I've always thought about it for some reason; living vicariously through you! Since you guys are moving to FL in several months, you could always plan a "hypothetical" trip for once you guys get down there and get all settled in! Order the planning DVD maybe (even though we have been numerous times, my boyfriend and I still get excited watching the DVD), with the ruse that you're doing all this prep work with him so that "you can be prepared" since in several months you'll be so close! Whatever you decide, come back and post and let us know! Have fun!
