Okay so I am excited for so many reasons. 23 year old son wants MOM to go on vacation with him and his girlfriend! Pretty cool I thought and then he tells me DISNEY!!! pixiedust: Well who could pass on that kind of offer??? And I get to plan the trip. Talk about the cherry on top! Anyway - After much research I think second week in September is best for us (hopefully with free dining) But the one I can't decide on is where to stay. I know that we want a moderate priced resort but I am at a loss after that. Any ideas or suggestions???? We will be 3 adults sharing one room. Girlfriend has never been and DS has just been once 8 years ago for a short(4 day). I want to make this a magical trip for both of them since I am thinking that it will probably be the last adult trip to Disney they have. (hopefully grand-babies one day)

Have you thought about renting DVC points? If you are staying at a moderate the prices can be very comparable for a deluxe hotel. You won't be able to get the free dining plan but if you check out Tables in Wonderland and the price and figure that into the discount you can still get a good deal. You may even find that renting the DVC resort and paying for food is cheaper depending on the price you are quoted for a free dining plan with a room at a moderate resort. I would suggest trying for Animal Kingdom Lodge (although it is a bit out of the way) as I love that hotel. If you do make sure to request a room close to the lobby as it is HUGE (you can do this after you get your room reserved)! If that isn't your thing you could always try your luck at the Polynesian (although that is more points which equals higher cost). You can also add the dining plan to a DVC rental- you just don't get it for free. I personally wouldn't go for the dining plan- it isn't the cost saver it used to be in my opinion. There are lots of awesome resorts to chose from, some are just cheaper. The cheapest is an Animal Kingdom Value DVC room and the most expensive is the Grand Floridian. I could go on and on......:P
