Hi everyone.
We are going to be in Orlando for my son's last big AAU national volleyball tournament. He finishes playing on July 3, and we were going to fly home. Our son has plans to go to a friend's big 4th of July party, so he is keeping his flight home on 7/3. I asked my husband if he'd like to stay and spend the day at Disney for the 4th, and he said...yes. I usually go once a year with my daughter, and we are rope drop to park close ride everything types. However, my husband wants to ride some of the rides he hasn't been on, take it easier and enjoy some adult time (went to HS in 2020 with our daughter and did all the Star Wars stuff). I know LL went on sale today, so I am hoping to make a pretty quick decision. We only have the one day and plan to see the Fireworks in Epcot and then take an Uber to the airport to spend the night at the airport Hyatt and fly home the next morning. I would love your help on the best strategy to accomplish the following. We are going to spend the night on July 3 in a Disney hotel. Debating all star movies or pop century but not sure which one...I thought the Skyliner would be best but we would only be riding it post Fireworks.
He wants to ride Flight of Passage, Guardians, and Tron (never been on any of them). I will buy 2 LLSP and rope drop the 3rd.
Other rides/activities he has expressed interest in doing:
Remy's
Soarin
Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin (never done this one)
Maybe Space Mountain but not for sure
Peoplemover
Expedition Everest
Navi
Safari
possibly Kali River Rapids
Nomad Lounge
We would like to finish in Epcot. We could do single rider Remy because that is also new and then have a few drinks/snacks and watch 9:00 Fireworks.
I was thinking we should RD Guardians during early entry and staying in international area and soarin and then taking the monorail to MK for those 2 rides and then going to AK. Or we could go to AK first, then MK and then monorail to Epcot and finish at IG.
Do you think I need Lightning Lane? He doesn't like to wait in lines. Selfishly, I'd like to sneak in a few more rides, but I am totally good just hitting the highlights.
Thank you!!!
