Looks like I will have one night in January with my sister to visit the World. We will drive from Sarasota visiting our Dad, stay over and hit one park the next day for our one day there. The night we are there we want to do a nicer dinner. I have been several times, my sister just for one day, no dinners.

I think it's between California Grill, Narcoosees, Flying Fish, and maybe Citricos. I've been to CG twice, Citricos once. Of course CG is great, the location etc etc. Maybe a little over rated? :worship: Citricos was also very very good.

So which one should we do? It might be her one chance at CG, so maybe she should experience that, but the others are also highly rated. I'd like to try Narcoosees, which lost out closely last year to Citricos when we had to pick between them, and Flying Fish always falls by the wayside.

No question in my mind, Narcoossee's You must have the Almond Crusted Cheesecake dessert. I had the Surf & Turf, but substituted scallops for the Turf, both wonderful and plentiful. The crab cakes as an appetizer were excellent as well. My mother had the grouper special and the chowder as an appetizer, it too was delightful. I had a mango smoothie as a beverage and my mother decided on chamomille tea to go with dessert (she ordered the cheesecake).

You already know how lovely GF can be and with the right timing you can see Wishes at Narcoossee's too.

Maybe I missed it but which park will you be doing your one day in? I am assuming The Magic Kingdom. If you were going to be at Hollywood Studios, I would recommend The Hollywood Brown Derby. We just came back from there and it was the best restaurant experience we had during our entire trip. The fillet was awesome and melted in your mouth. The Crab Cake appetizer was also killer.

If you will be at the Magic Kingdom...try going over to the Poly and eating at the Kona Cafe. We liked it better than Ohana's.

Have a great one day trip to the happiest place on earth.

Ok sorry. We will probably visit EPCOT on our one (the next) day. Sis lives in Cal, so we have both been to MK there, AK not enough to see for a one long day visit. HS possibly the same. Not sure yet where we will stay over--probably POFQ, reasonably priced but nicely themed.

Make sure you get to EPCOT early. Soar'n fastpass are gone by lunch so be sure to get one for the afternoon. Have you thought about the Chefs De France for a nice sitdown dinner? Ask for a window seat and get a resie for 8:30 so you can watch Illuminations while you enjoy dinner. Just my two cents.

I have Chefs reserved for lunch. We will probably be gone from the park by dinner, so the dinner I need is for the night before, when we drive in....

Still hoping for some help here!

PS yeah, I go to Soarin first thing, grab fp and then ride it right away. Then return later for another go...

I've dined at all of the ones you mentioned several times and out of these, Flying Fish is by far my favorite.

We have dined at California Grill, Narcoosees, Flying Fish, and Citricos. No matter which one you choose you will have a good dinner.
