Hey everybody...I'm nuts and planning my ADRs already. I want to pick a place to eat on our anniversary, May 7th. We were married at the Boardwalk and I think it would be nive to have dinner in that area but don't know where would be a nice place to eat.

I was also thinking of Coral Reef...we love it there and the atmosphere is my favorite...also thinking Cali grill...how romantic with the fireworks. We will be on DP so 2 credit meals are fine...V&A is out though because it's just not us..we like to have fun and romance together. V&A would be nice but the menu does not appeal to me also.

I thought about the castle but we ate there before and once was enough for us.

I'm stressing and don't know where to pick! Help me out please :):lovestruc

I would definitely stay away from the castle, "Romantic" naturally comes to mind when think about the Cinderella fairy tale and a castle, but after having dinner there.... "Romantic" is not anywhere on my list of description.

My personal choice, all within the dining plan....

1) Narcoossees (my favorite choice)
2)California Grill (great view of wishes, but the noise of the restaurant kills a bit of the romance)
3)Jiko(a bit far to go, but a nice stroll around before or after dinner with the animals adds to the romance, and they have a storytelling at the campfire which has had a big adult draw when we have seen it)
4)Yachtsman Steakhouse (not the most romantic, but can be very elegant and close to where you are staying)

We have eaten at Chefs de France the last two visits, and it was very romantic! Food and service were very nice, and a good wine list. yum

Were staying at AKV so JIko would be fine!!! I will have to look into Yaghtsman.....ugh IDK what to pick lol. We have never eaten at Cali grill..noise won't bother us. IDK.

I loved Chefs de France!!! The food was so good. That is on my list for May.

This is my list.
Le cellier
Coral Reef
Cali grill
Brown Derby
Ohanas
Kona
Prime time cafe
Chef mickey breakfast
Jiko

I HIGHLY recommend Narcoossees...DH and I just recently celebrated our 3rd Anniversary there. :thumbsup2

We were given pins, and a personalized menu...Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and our Food was Excellent! I had also pre-ordered the Anniversary cake from the cake hotline and that too was fabulous!

Our ADR's were for 7:50pm. This gave us enough time to enjoy dinner and then get out on the deck for the fireworks. (they even play the music!)

We will definitely be going there again for our next visit! :thumbsup2

Narcoosee's or Citrico's.

OOOH I forgot you can watch fireworks on the deck!! I'm going to look into it! What kind of pin were you given? My DH will want to eat there when he hears pins lol.

Do you have any pictures or reviews? Oh and would I be able to have an anniversary cake from the boardwalk bakery? That was where we got our wedding cake from. I wanted to get a replica mini cake. If I can't have it served there then I guess I could just go to the bakery and pick it up and bring it back to our room. Our wedding cake was sooo good. It was chocolate chip cake with chocolate mousse filling!

I'm sure you could order a cake from the Boardwalk, but I think if you wanted a cake for Narcoossees, you have to order it from the Grand Floridian Bakery. :confused3

The pins were the same ones you get from the parks, but it was still cute...as for the menu, that was a cute suprise. Our names and our wedding date were printed on the top.

I think that they're known for their Surf and Turf, but I had the Salmon, and DH had the Chicken. Both were delicious and filling! I also had the Pomegranite Martini! Yum!

If you want good fish, Flying Fish on Boardwalk has the best fish/seafood of any WDW restaurant.

But for romance, I would go for Bistro de Paris in Epcot.

I forgot bout Bistro de Paris too lol.

That cake looks so good!!! Thank you for all the ideas everybody! They are all great :)

1) Traditional
. . . 1st Year anniversary is "paper"
. . . McDonald's, burger wrapped in paper

2) Non-Traditional
. . . Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, Upstairs)

HAHA OMG!!!! Can you imagine!!!

Ok so I have 2 votes for Bistro and 2 for Narcoose....time for a poll lol.

Hey!
My boyfriend and I are celebrating at the California Grill, and it seems like an amazing thing to be able to watch the fireworks on deck.

(Besides, then you're only a monorail away from MK!)

Oh gosh I'm so overwhelmed LOL!!!!! All the places sound great...I will eat at most of them on my trip just not sure which one to do for our actual anniversary.

ok so how do I decide!!! AHHHH

we also just came back and had our anniversary dinner at Narcoossees - and eh - it was just ok - the pomegranite rita we had was the best though!

because you are staying at the lodge I would say Jiko. If you want to get out then Cali grill gets my vote

Out of the three I've only tried Cali Grill and it's my favorite restaurant at WDW (so far..). So my vote has to go there!

But I do know that you can see the fireworks from Narcoossees as well.

Check out the menus, that's usually what decides it for me.

Narcoossee's - We are doing our 10th there next year.:)
The kids will be with us so I thought seeing the fireworks from there would be a plus.

If we weren't traveling with kids, Citricos and Yachtsman would be on my list.
