Help pick a birthday dinner for my husband

Right now, we have one night without the kids (going with grandma!). We have a reservation at Victoria & Alberts but we are trying to decide if we want to spend that much money, and bring a jacket for dh this trip. Where else would you go? We were thinking Artist Point or Jiko (although a bit of a pain to get there from the SOG). We haven't done either of them. Which do you prefer or any other suggestion we might not have thought of.

We had my 50th at the Brown Derby. Love the atmosphere and you can have a nice table for 2 off t the side.

Are you looking for a more adult atmosphere? The best of the best is V&A but if you don't want to do the jacket, I recommend the high end restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin over any of the Disney signatures. A cab ride would be about $15. I love fish so bluezoo is my favorite but there's also Shulas and Il Mulino.

Thank you both- i should say we don't want to go into the parks that night.
I was looking at BlueZoo, we haven't tried that one. We are from NYC so I didn't want to do Il Mulino down in Disney. Shulas could work- we do love it there.

Another vote for Bluezoo, which has become one of our must-dine's on any WDW trip. I'm also not a huge fan of packing a suit on vacation, but I'd do it for the V&A, which is probably the best bang for your buck.
If you're interested in other tasting menu type meals, I like the chef's menus at Bluezoo (I prefer dessert over the cheese) and the Flying Fish. (FF's has some downsides though - only 2 seatings, not offered Fri/Sat, and you have to prepay in full at booking).

I'd vote for Artist Point. Transport is not a biggie - bus to MK but don't go in the park; just walk down the dock and take a nice romantic boat ride to the WL.

Have you considered Citricos? It's right beside Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridan. It's a really nice restaurant with a nice romantic feel to it. JMO.
