Okay guys & gals.... Only 1 week 5 Days till I head out!!! Quick Q, booked the all-star music, however with exchange rate and other things got a bit more $$ than first though, so does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the hotel, maybe to a moderate for example?? Can you ask at the reception to do this???

Was thinking of phoning Disney directly and asking would that be the best bet??

Any suggestions would help... Thanks Oh and has Pirates of The C just been upgraded??

who did you book the room with? If you booked directly with WDW, then you can call them directly to inquire about the rates at the moderates and whether you can change your reservations accordingly.

if you booked with a travel company/agent rather than directly with WDW, then i would assume you would have to call the travel company to change the reservation...

We booked through a travel agent but its too late to change the holiday with them now!!

So we wondered if Disney would allow us to change when we got there???

you can but try when you check in at front desk,we have done it from a value to a value when gone with a ta from movies to pop.personly i dont think there would be a problem

Me and DD did that last year - we asked at the front desk who checked for availability and we moved the same day. It was no problem and they said people do it all the time. We booked with a TA - so it didn`t seem to matter who had made your reservations.

you will be charged the differance in the rack rate for the room so if all stars was $80 and cbr was $140 a night you would be charged $60 per night

i was considering this and Disney said i had to contact TA but could enquire when i arrive there, i assumed like paulh says you pay the difference, but was told that they will check what the TA paid for your room [as thay get discounts] and then the rate of the room you want, so will work out probably slightly more then the difference between the prices of the 2 resorts
