this is what is on the Disney cruise line site:
Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. I take this as EACH GUEST 21 OR OLDER. My Disney agent just told me it was per room NOT Per person. I was going to bring 2 bottles or wine; my husband 6 beers, which we were going to put into one carry-on. We are limited on space for luggage since 6 of us are coming from Michigan in 1 van.

Anyone who has been on a cruise since they changed the policy - please tell me what you did. Also, is it possible to bring a couple beers off the boat onto Castaway Cay......???

I was under the impression it was per person as well. Maybe they have to be in separate carryons for multiple people? We're sailing Friday, so this would be good to know.

The limit is per person so your plan to bring 2 bottles of wine for you and 6 beers for your husband is fine. Carry on alcohol is supposed to be consumed in your stateroom only.

As the PP said it is per person, not cabin. I would add that some people have reported having the 3 items for 2 people in one carryon and were told no, you can't do it that way, so I would suggest having your alcohol in separate carryons.

You are not allowed to take your alcohol onto CC.

It's definitely per person -- I had three bottles of wine in my one carry-on (for my wife and me) and didn't have any issue. Though apparently others have. Note also, each adult can bring their allotment back on the ship from each port of call (e.g. two more bottles of wine per adult). But each adult whose allotment is being used must board the ship.

I would just tell them how the policy states and if you only have one carry on between 4 adults. Then you carry all 4 adults in the carry on. Especially if you all arrive and go through together. It does not say, must be in separate carry on. Worst case. Raise a fuss and then just carry the bottles in hand?

I think it's fine as long as you are all going through security together and no one leaves the security area before the bag with the alcohol is screened. It could be a problem if the first person through security doesn't have the alcohol and then moves along to the check in area while the remainder of the party is still having their bags screened.
