Help! Our family vacation is being crashed!

Ugh, OP, I sympathize. We are planning our first trip to Disney with our son. My mother has no idea about this. She is always making comments like "I just hope that I get to go to Disney for his first trip." We want to go on our own. Like you said it is OUR family vacation. I have no idea how I'm going to tell her the plane is leaving without her!

I so feel all of your pain.......And I am so sorry that you all have to go thru this as i have for many years......The first time I invited the Inlaws was for my DD's 2nd B-day, and it was ok but I told hubby Uh never again......My MIL is a COntrol freak who needs to control every aspect of her life and ours.....it was a rough day. I had my day planned perfectly but she slowed us own and complained so much it was ridiculous.......And the funny thing about that is I had to plan their vacation as well.......The big problem they want cheap rooms close to Disney, I want to stay on site......I always stay on site......its my choice and thats that......i have put my foot down.......Hubby made us stay off site that year.....I didnt talk to him for the rest of the trip, and he knew why.......Total chaos.......So everytime after that I never told her about my plans until maybe a week before our trip.....Oh by the way can you watch the house or feed the cats we are off to WDW again.......It lasted for a while about 3 years until I just planned this years very spur of the moment trip......My dd told grandma where we are going for her B-day and "says well how many beds in your room I guess I'll join you. we could put the girls on the floor and me and granpa can take the other bed, " As she is saying this I am cringing,dying,fuming inside......She continues so Were are we eating dinner, How long is this party Blah,Blah,Blah......Mind you this was last week......I read this post and saw someone post on here about changing the days and well thats what i did, I added a day before and i made ressies and i just told him Sorry hubby made me change it due to his job and there are no more tickets or reservations available, mind you she's upset but I just cant take another vacation to WDW with them...So I hope that you are able to find a solution to your problem.....just know you are not alone....
