HELP!!!!! Does anyone have any good quick diets or advice on how to lose about 15lbs in this time, have kept saying I'm going to lose weight but what with summer being so nice bbqs, glasses of wine etc need I say more, unfortunately the diet was delayed.

Now need drastic action and a good kickstart!!

Any help much appreciated

I think you first have to decide what kind of program you want to follow. There are lots of them and it's important to find one that will fit into your lifestyle so you can stick with it. I know on this board people are doing the following: Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, Curves, portion control, slimfast, adding more excercise and I'm sure there are more. I think whichever program you choose, the most important thing is to increase your water consumption. Look through these boards and find out a little about each program and see what would best fit your lifestyle. Good luck!
 
15 lbs in 5 weeks is a lot to lose in a short time span but I suppose it can be done if you are really strict with your eating plan and really exercise.

The first thing you really need to do is settle on a plan that is right for you. That is such an important first step. You need to find a way of eating that you can live with long term and that will help you see the results you are looking for.

I'd say try WW! :) It's a great program and you will certainly lose weight on it! Maybe not 15 pounds in 5 weeks, but you never know.... And it's something you can do for life (and find a way to work in glasses of wine and BBQs too!) :) Exercise is also a great partner to any healthy eating lifestyle.

Definitely consider WW. The program is structured and easy to follow yet flexible enough to allow you to choose to eat what you need to eat (low carbs or low fat, you decide). Another agreement on WW's. But each individual is different, so you must take your lifestyle, likes etc into consideration. 15lbs is a lot in 5 weeks. It's not NOT DOABLE, but it's a lot in a short amount of time. By setting to high of a goal in such a short amount of time, you may set yourself up for dissapointment and failure. It can be done though. I have lost over 24 pounds in 11 weeks, and I don't feel like I am dieting at all. I eat a lot actually and am rarely hungry. I might feel like eating out of boredom, or because something tastes good, but I am rarely hungry.
