help on visiting universal

hoping for some advice! wife and I will be staying at riverside may 10-18 2011. considering universal for a day. need to make a decision soon.

what would be the best option for tickets and transportation? during that time I would like to go either the thursday,sunday , or monday. looking for opinions on what would be the best day to go.

I recommend either Thursday or Sunday, in no particular order. Stay away from Monday--crowds are typically worse.

You can easily rent a car for the day. Pick it up at the Swan (or Dolphin) or at the Car Care Centre near MK.

Or take a taxi. We're taken a taxi to US from ASMo and it was about $70 round trip.

Buy tickets ahead of time at Undercover Tourist.

I have found that Sunday is the least crowded day in early May. Now that Spring break is over Mondays won't be any worse than Thursdays. As a matter of fact, end of year school field trips start up in May and they tend to occur later in the week. All in all, early May is usually a pretty good time to go whatever day you pick!

Not sure I buy this. I get your logic, but I would love to see more reports in the crowd report thread in the coming weeks about Sunday vs. Monday vs. Thursday.
