Do they only deliver to Disneyland Hotels, or any hotel around Disneyland?:cheer2:
How long in advance do you have to order from Safeway or Albertsons? How do you do that from your home before you go to Cali?
Any more info you might have would be great!!!!!!! Could you tell me how you did it, did you have to sit around the hotel for a while and wait for the delivery?
Thanks!

Well, I have never used their service in DL. However, I have used Safeway delivery here at home. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't deliver to any hotel. They just need an address and room #.

I would place the order before you leave for Anaheim, that way you can schedule a set time ahead for the delivery and not worry if there will be a time slot available.

HTH.

I haven’t done this yet….but have looked into it. We will be ordering from online before we leave home. (I think…we might stop off at the local Albertsons and enquire) I know that you will need the zip code for DL for the online site as the specials can be different from store to store.

Hi pixiestar! We live in WA too and just returned from Dl last night. I'm pretty sad this morning knowing that we can't wake up and go over to the parks for the first time in a week.:sad1: We stayed at the Carousel Inn on Harbor Blvd. right across from the DL entrance and we had Albertsons deliver food, water, etc. to our room. It worked out great and I would highly recommend this to everyone! They charged $9.95 for a delivery fee but that alone covers what a few bottled waters would cost at the park, so it is definitely worth it. You will need to place the order online at Albertsons.com and it needs to be placed before 10 p.m. on the day before you want the delivery. Use the zip code of your hotel as the zip code on the site and it will show the items that can be delivered to that area (Not all items are available in all areas). When you place the order, use the address of your hotel as the delivery address and your home address as the billing address. (They will ask for payment with a credit/debit card when you place the order online). You can pick the delivery date/ time and they will deliver within a 1 1/2 hour time "window". Since I did not know what room number I would be in when I placed the order, I just put a note in the "memo" section on my order asking them to go to the front desk and ask for my room number and deliver it there. When I arrived at the hotel, I told them I would be expecting a delivery and gave them permission to give Albertsons my room number. It all worked out perfectly and I will definitely do this every time I visit the parks. Good Luck! :)

We had a delivery from Albertson's too (got home yesterday :-( ) and the service was great. Our delivery window was 5-6.30pm, on a Sunday, and I think it arrived around 5.10pm. We also had water, soft drink, fruit etc delivered. I ordered it about a week before we left so I could choose the delivery time to suit our flight.

Albertsons.com curretnly has a 5.00 off delivery with purchase of any 2 Kellogg's cereals.....

We did ours with Safeway (www.safeway.com) or I think it's actually called VONS in Anaheim.

Anyway, siince it was our first delivery, they waived the delivery charge! So it was free. It was my favorite thing I did ahead of time before our trip.

My trip report (in the trip report section or you can go to www.freewebs.com/chrismouse ) blathers on and on about how much I loved my grocery delivery.

Have fun!! wish I could go with you! :rotfl:

When I first called Albertsons, they said they waive the delivery fee for first time orders too, but when I called back, they said it was only for orders over $100. Does Safeway have a minimum order for the free first time delivery?

I read your trip report, and unlike Albertson's, it sounds like Safeway/VONS will deliver to Bell Services - - am I right?? :confused3

This is how we always do it in WDW and it would be so much more convenient if we didn't have to worry about being in the room waiting for a delivery.

By the way...loved your report and your pictures are awesome...I'm glad your family had such a good time for their first family vacation!!

Exactly what all kinds of items are you getting delivered? I am just curious if this would be the best option for me or not. I was thinking once we got to the HoJo we would just make arrangements to go to Target or Walmart but this may be the way to go. Hummmm.......
Thanks
Kim
