help on room request at CBR

Hi everyone-

We leave in 9 Days and are staying at CBR. In the past I have always faxed my room request and always got what I requested. But after reading some posts about faxes possibley not being looked at I am a bit nervous.

Has anyone faxed to CBR recently? Were your requests honored? I have allready requested non-smoking but would also like to request Jamaica and a ground floor room since we have a 2 yearold and a stroller that I prefer not to carry up and down the stairs!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You should just call central reservations and have your requested noted in your reservation.

When you get there if you haven't received your requests ask the CM checking you in. They really try to grant your requests at CBR.

I faxed our room request to CBR 4 days before arriving. We had paid for preferred location and I had asked for Martinique building 26.

When we got to check-in, the CM was preparing our paperwork and gave us a map of the property with circle around Trinidad North, building 32. I asked what happened to our request and he replied that they were evacuating Martinique and Barbados for hurricane France, I didn't argue on that.

While staying there we met other guests at CBR and some lived in Martinique which of course puzzled me.

We got room 3239 in Trinidad North and it was a nice room concidering the storm coming, courtyard view and it worked out well.

I just got back from CBR we had requested a room in either of the preferred sections, we already paid for a king room, but when we checked in the room they were given us was in Barbados. I asked for a change and then they said we could have a room in Jamacia which I had read positive things about so I took that room. So if they can they will change to accomodate you. Good Luck!

You can also call the resort directly 4 or 5 days before you arrive and room assignment cm's will be sure your preference is noted. I have found the front desk extremely accomodating even tho I was very hesitant to call. POFQ, POP and the POLY have all told me to call 5 days ahead in the afternoon - one told me morning.

Worth a try, even though I love CBR I've not found the cm's to be the most helpful there.
