help on getting a good rate! :)

We would like 2 nights at a Universal hotel in August.. and wondered where we could find the best rate..

I ddont really mind which hotel we stay in..
ideally we would like a king bed.. and a sleeper sofa or something like that..

there is just DH myself andd DS8...

What are the pros and cons of each hotel?

Im assuming three days with FOTL is sufficient for the two parks? weve not done universal for 10 years!

Your best bet is to just play around with your dates if at all possible. Mon-Thursday are usually cheaper. Go to the Universal Site to view all hotel prices at once. Under promotion code is where you will enter AAA or APH (anual pass holder) discounts. They also offer a government rate but you will have to call for that one. You will have to try different dates to get the cheapest rate-I know ours is $80 cheaper a night the week before we are scheduled to go but is not an option for us. Don't book through the universal site though. Once you find your best date and rate for your Hotel go to the Loews website and sign up for Loews First then book your reservation through them so you can get your perks!!

There may also be SuperSaver rates out for your dates. You don't enter anything in the promotional code section for that rate to come up. SuperSaver rates won't come up if you type anything at all in the promotional code box. Also, after you book, keep checking the site....sometimes closer to your dates, the rates will drop. If they do, you can call and have your rate changed to the current rate.
