We are a party of 4 (2 adults, 1 child 1 infant, well 2 yr old). We are going w/MIL and FIL so that would make 6. Then my parents just decided to book and now that makes 8. However, we're not a grand gathering b/c of the 2 yr old. Also my parents are not sure if they will be able to go and won't know until much closer to our travel dates (Aug). It will depend on work for my dad. He works in construction so it's very up in the air. Should I make dining reservations for 8 or for 6 and add two when I find out for sure if they are going? Thanks!

In my past experience, it was definitely easier to cancel people than to add them later. Last year, we couldn't add my cousin and her husband to our ADR of 8 people for dinner at California Grill and Narcoosee's. We were told that the restaurants were at capacities on both nights. Best bet is to include your parents now and worry about any cancellation later. :thumbsup2

Definitely make the reservations for 8. If your parents are unable to come, you can try to cancel the 2 people, or just show up to the restaurant and tell them 2 people were unable to make it. It's much more difficult to try to add people to a reservation. We had my MIL & SIL not come to several reservations and had no trouble being seated.

I agree, make the reservations for 8 ppl and if you need to cancel two do it then! Or you can always show up and say that 2 were unable to make it!
