Hi all,

Please help me as I'm at a loss!

I had all my ADRs booked the day they became available and now we had to change our plans.

Bottom line, I am now without an ADR for the Sunday night over MLK weekend. Our new plan has some wiggle room for that day, but we had planned another trip to MK then. However, I can't get any ADRs I want. We are on the DDP so we wanted table service/buffet that would appeal to a 4 year old.

Chef Mickey's is booked from 4 pm on.
1900 Park Fare is booked from 4 pm on.
Ohana's is booked from 4 pm on.
Crystal Place... ditto!

We are already eating at CRT and Whispering Canyon on other nights, so I don't want to repeat those.

I really wanted to leave the park and go to the resorts. I'm afraid if we stay in the park, DS who is almost 4 will throw a fit that we are not eating at CRT again.

So, where do we eat with a 4 year old on that Sunday night? Should we look beyond MK? If so where? DHS will be packed due to F!

Thanks!!
Kim

DTD was also going to be my suggestion. Have you tried calling T-Rex directly? If you call their number direct they have more options than if you go thru WDW reservations. The number is 407-828-8729. You didn't say if your 4yo was boy or girl, but when we went in August with our 3 DDs they loved it. Just be aware it does get loud in case 4yo has any sensory issues with noise.

Edit: Oh now I see DS on the bottom part of the posting. TRex may be a good option for you. DTD has lots of fun stuff to look at, too! He may really like the Lego store. World of Disney is also an AWESOME store.

T-Rex is my suggestion as well! Or Rainforest Cafe ....

I agree that DTD is a great place to spend an evening!

The only thing with T-Rex is to make sure they take the DDP. When we were there in Oct, they were not taking it yet, but I believe Rainforest does.

Deebits- I'll check out Boma.

tlenzendorf and GoofySon'sMom-

Thanks for the DTD suggestions, but I thought that those restaurants were not on the DDP? The 2010 dining plan list I have says that Cap'n'Jacks is the only sit down that is participating?

Assuming you're talking about the night of January 17, I just looked up 1900 Park Fare online and found an availability at 6:55 p.m.

Resorts:

Cape May Cafe - Beach Club
Captain's Grill - Beach Club
Boma - AKL
The Wave - Contemporary
Kona Cafe - Poly

If you have park hoppers and don't mind being in a park, I recommend Teppan Edo if you can get an ADR. My 3 kids really enjoyed it.

 Sorry, this totally off topic, but I noticed the adorable little pigs in your signature. They remind me of a commercial that plays here for the NY lottery. It has the sweetest little animals in pajamas, including cute little pigs in a bunk bed. Here it is from youtube:

There were several times this past week (Thanksgiving week) when we decided to eat somewhere else or did not have a reservation. We didn't have any problem doing walkup! We did walkup one night at Chef Mickey's for dinner and the wait was approximately 1 1/2 hours. Usually the walkup wait was about 25 minutes. We did walkup at Kona and Grand Floridian Cafe (twice!)

Kona was for breakfast, Grand Floridian Cafe was for lunch both times.

Hopefully that will bode well for you!

Oh yes, sorry you are correct, TRex is not on the dining plan. I forgot we had picked it for our first night when we were not on the dining plan. :headache:

Did you try the Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF? Kona at the Poly?
Capt Grille at the YC? Cape May Cafe (buffet) at the BC?
Big River Grille at the BW?

Keep trying for the one's you want....there are always cancelations. Or try to do a walk-up!

Good Luck and enjoy your vacation.

Crystal Palace is closed for rehab during MLK weekend. There will be characters at Liberty Tree Tavern, and from looking online they have availablity for 3 (2 adults, 1 child) at 3:55PM (maybe an early dinner, snack later) and also Hoop Dee Doo Review (which I hear is alot of fun!) Or the GF Cafe is great if you want to watch the MK fireworks from the dock when you're done with dinner. Or 1900 Park Fare has something at 6:55PM.

1) Not everyone gets the eateries they want.
2) Simply pick others.
3) There are many eateries with times available.

Thanks for the advice all!

I now have a dinner ADR for 1900 Park Fare at 7 pm. It was definitely later than we wanted so we might not keep it.

I also decided to book the O'hana Lilo and Stitch breakfast because I found out that was available and my DS *loves* Stitch.

Thanks again!
Kim

The Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness is a great resort buffet that caters to lil ones & it's only a boat ride away from the MK.

How about going over to the boardwalk for a few hours that evening? You could eat at B&C (which should be fun for your 4 y.o.), walk around the boardwalk, and play mini golf at Fantasia Gardens.

Try the Plaza in MK (across from Crystal Palace). :goodvibes
