Help! No Magic Kingdom reservations available on Christmas Day 🙁

I am hoping by 9pm the park empties a little, especially if it's 45 degress.

Definitely brush up, there have been changes, even in the past week (regarding changing times for your return in the app if others are available). It does now show when you can book your next ride, which is helpful, so no more guessing!

Would reservations have to be made with park hopping tickets?

Yes. In order to hop to MK after 2pm, you have to actually enter the park for which you have a reservation. You only get to hop after you enter a park. You can't just make a random reservation and get in to a different park after 2pm.

It is! You can buy it at midnight, well, right after midnight. Of course, that price went up too. Today it is $25 per person. You can book your first experience at 7am, and I recommend you do that!

We ended up getting this at $29 per person. I was able to book 7 rides total so I guess it was worth it to protect the cost of the 1 day ticket.
I think we got 15 or 16 totals rides with some duplicates and some walk ins after 9pm.
Longest wait was 25 mins standby for space mtn at 10:30
Mixed in some down time at WL around dinner. Like the atmosphere there…the lobby is great place to chill.

That's really good for a busy day! I'm not a morning person so I prefer to stay late at night, too. And the WL is our favorite resort, trying to decide our dates for this year! Sounds like a successful trip for you!
