Back in September i applied for the Prof. Intern, for the Professional Internship (College Program Alumni Only) and Management Internship - Theme Park Operations but in a phone interview after i revealed that i have a major in Management and will grad in May 2011.

The rep asked me why i dint pursue a program that i cant remember (it wasn't the CP).

And wanted to know if any of you know about anything else that is better than a PI for me or what are my best options?

Try again for the Fall PI
Do another CP
or what?

Why don't you do both? Apply for fall PI and CP. If you get accepted for the IP do that. If you don't get accepted do the CP. Tons of people put in apps for both for the same time then once acceptances come out they make the final decision to do one over the other.

The emerging leaders program might be something you could look into. It is a great program and you get a ton of management experience.

To be apart of the Emerging Leaders program you must be sponsered by a current Leader. For Entertainment, we also require that you are on the current LCC bench.

Now I'm curious, what is Emerging Leaders Program? Google didn't find me a real answer. What is the LCC branch?

The Emerging Leader program is an 8 week program in which highly performing Cast Members are identified as strong leaders. During the 8 weeks, they recieve all Management training classes, as well as shadowing opportunities in their designated Line of Business. It is not something you can apply for. A current Leader must identify and sponser an Emerging Leader through the program.

LCC stands for Leadership Casting Call. Typically, once a year current Cast Member have the ability to go through an interview process in order to be skilled for Management. If you pass the three rounds of interviews, you are placed on a bench. When identifying candidates for the Emerging Leader program, those on the bench are more likely to be selected as they have already passed the rigourous management interview process.

Thanks for the info. Wow, those sound like great opportunities! Do the cast members have to be full time to get selected?
