Help needed with planning

Coming October 18 with 2 adults and 3 girls for 6 nights and 5 days, I am a novice and don't want to mess up this vacation.

I need help on what parks should be done each day to maximize trip and minimize waits,

Staying on site and any help would be appreciated so I can plans dining reservations next month.

I use the calendar at easy wdw. He shows which park is most ideal for the day and why. Typically we stay onsite and take advantage of Extra Magic Hours offered to Disney resort guests. This lets guests in the parks early or to stay late. We will usually be at the parks at opening, take advantage of the EMH then park hop to the resort on the WDW calendar that is most recommended. We will usually have our dinner res and fast pass + at the second park. Parks with EMH are typically more crowded as the day goes on.
Which resort are you staying at? If you have HULU or the Destination channel put in keyword Disney and some good documentaries will come up on the parks.

You can not go wrong following Wendy Beth's advice.

Since you will be there during the Halloween Season, you might want to go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). Special fun.

This is a hard ticket event, which means that you have to have a special ticket for it. Only people with the ticket can be in the park (Magic Kingdom). https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/

Also, I would have each girl pick her top 3 things to do in the parks. Some of those hopefully would be the same. You cannot see and do everything, so pick and choose.

Perusing this board is a good idea and you will get lots of ideas and strategies. But, it is also heavily peppered with FP+ controversy and angst. No one knows how that will turn out and October is a long way to go - so don't worry about it.
