Hi there

I get married at the Wedding Pavillion in September.
We have read all about these new windows which to be honest are fine.
We have also seen the fact that there will be construction and one side of beach closed I guess?

What we are really worried about is the noise on our videos and just in general when we are outside. Does anybody know what is going on there at the moment?

:sad1:

There are a couple different threads. As of right now the construction hasn't reached the beach yet. There is some noise but not as much as I'm sure there is expected to be in the upcoming months.

I live about 30 minutes from Disney and have decided for my sanity and the sanity of the brides also getting married there that I will go and take pictures at least once a month, if not more. I do currently have a thread (it's probably on page 2) that has pictures from July 20th or so. I plan on making another trip this weekend or early next week to take pictures. I'll try to take a video too so that we can get an idea of noise.

It's fair to say that a video would help us enourmously!

Thanks

I'll try to go on Monday so that it is a "work" day and hopefully it'll be in full swing so that the video will show the real noise factor as of now. I think you'll be safe for your September wedding as right now they're still working on getting access roads read, I think it's those of us from November on that'll probably have a little more to worry about as it should be in complete renovation/building mode by then.

I'm definitely curious about this as well as I was assured by my planner that all construction would be occurring at night as to not interfere with any ceremonies. If that is not the case, then I will be very upset.

My friend is getting married at the WP in October and is going to speak to her planner this week regarding the noise. I have heard they do not plan to stop the construction for the ceremonies. The difficulty with doing the construction at night is that it could be disruptive to the guests staying at the Grand Floridian and Polynesian. It seems that Disney hasn't really considered brides or weddings in all of this :sad2:

My planner told me the opposite. She said that construction would only be taking place on weekdays during regular work hours. They are probably just telling all of us different things based on what time of day our weddings are, so we don't all freak out on them.

My wedding planner contacted me today and told me that there was an update. That construction will be going on during the day, not overnight as I was originally told, and that they have a schedule of the ceremonies and will accommodate as much as possible.

I took my fiance and future father in law to see the WP and GF on Monday, and there really wasn't much construction noise going on. There was some, but not so much that it would be an annoyance.
