help needed picking a date in 2008!

I need help picking which week next year we should plan our trip. This will be my children's first trip and my first trip onsite. We are considering going either the very last week of may/1st week of june . . . or the 1st 2 weeks in august. I would love to hear if anyone has traveled on these dates, pros/cons for crowds, wait in lines, etc...
Any advice is greatly appreciated, I just can't make up mind!!!!

I would go end of May beginning of June mainly because the heat in August is pretty bad at times. You would still have it at the beginning of the summer but it wouldn't be nearly as bad. We went the 3rd week in August and though we had an awesome time it was in the upper 90's and so humid you could cut it with a knife. We went on our honeymoon during the 3rd week in June and it wasn't as humid and hot. Crowds are probably a bit worse but with more and more schools starting in August, including Florida, they aren't as bad as they used to be. Have a great trip.

i'm not really concerned with the humidity or heat (we live in south Louisiana, humidity is always 100% here!). just really concerned with crowds, lines etc....

My vote is for May! We went in the beginning of May (5/4-5/10) and the crowds were very low and the weather was great. We had only one shower that lasted about 20minutes total. And DH and I just got back a few days ago and the crowds were heavy and the weather was hot. Plus it rained everyday around 4:00pm.

If it were me, May would be #1, June #2 and August would definitely be my last pick-due to huge crowds and hideous heat.

In May/early June many northern schools aren't out yet, so the crowds should be lighter. Also, a little less hot and humid than August. I would avoid Memorial Day weekend if you can, though!
