Hi fellow DISer's. In about a month I'll be within my booking window for ADR's for my 10 yr anniversary trip with DH. No kids, just the two of us just like on our honeymoon 10 years ago! :goodvibes

Now, I really want to go places where we wouldn't normally go with the kids. So, no character meals. We won't be on the dining plan because I was fortunate to get a 40% off pin for our room! :thumbsup2 This means we can eat where we want, when we want. The F&W fest will be going on, so we'll be sure to sample quite a bit over there, so likely only 1 sit down meal per day, but I may fit in a breakfast/dinner combo on one of the days.

I definitely want to do Cali Grill around Wishes time. Other than that...suggestions?? We've done most of the Epcot restaurants but may want to try Japan.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions! :)

Happy Anniversary! Here are my suggestions:

1. Victoria and Albert's -- well, you won't have the kids with you, so now's the time :-)

2. Flying Fish -- This is a traditional date night favorite for my DW and I. They make good food, the atmosphere is bustling for a lot of the evening, but slows way down later in the evening. Plus, there's the Boardwalk for a lovely stroll before or after dinner.

3. Jiko -- A bit of a hike to get there from most places, but I think it is the most romantic restaurant at WDW (V&A aside...)

4. Citrico's -- My favorite restaurant at WDW, in the lovely setting of the Grand Floridian resort. You can make an evening of exploring the resort, drinks at Mizner's, dinner at Citrico's, walking to the beach area there or at the Poly to watch the fireworks from MK... or get massages at the Spa there and then go over to dinner for a decadent evening. Again, no kids, so now's your chance.

Good luck!

Wow thanks DEA! Great recommendations! I've been toying with V&A...I'm a little nervous though. We're foodies but for some reason it intimidates me to go there? Weird, I know. Maybe we'll have to do it this time though...

We've never been there, but we're planning a visit on our next adults-only trip in December. I'm going to try to get the Chef's Table, which sounds even more intimidating, but I figure my job is just to eat the food, and I know I can do that, so there's no pressure. :thumbsup2

I agree with DEA, especially about Flying Fish! :thumbsup2 I also recommend Artist's Point at the WL (romantic, intimate setting and that smoky portobello soup....to DIE for.) I also recommend Rose & Crown in Epcot. Get a ressie around Illuminations time and get a GREAT view AND great food! :)

It is definitely a dream of mine to dine at the chef's table at V&A's .. so I'd definitely do that!!

Haven't eaten at Citrico's yet, but we will in June - very excited for that. The reviews are great .. and it looks very pretty. Menu looks awesome too.

Flying Fish is really great, too.

Our top 5 in order:

Bluezoo
Il Mulino
Citricos
Flying Fish
Jiko

Kouzzina for breakfast. Have fun!!

My top 5 in order for adults only

V&A
bluezoo
Il Mulino
Bistro de Paris
Flying Fish

After these it would be Citricos, Jiko, Wolfgang Pucks The Dining Room

We liked Narcoossee's alot better than Cali Grill. We liked everything about it better than Cali. The food, service, atmosphere, veiw, just the whole experience was better. SOA would be a nice addition, the food is good and the show is beautiful.

Thanks for all the suggestions, good thing I have a month to make some decisions!!!:thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary!

We did on our 25th
Victoria & Alberts:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Another strong suggestion for Narcoosees. We went for our anniversary and they really went overboard for us. The special anniversary delight was the Almond Cheescake, WOW and Yummy. Special menu printed up as a keepsake plus the view of the fireworks and the water parade cannot be beat.

We did the same thing...also 10 years ago during F&W. WHen is your anniversary?

Anyway...we ate at Cali Grill. They had the table all decorated for us. My DH surprised me and got me a diamond wrap. They brought it out on a plate all decorated with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. We then took a glass of wine and went out on the viewing platform to watch Wishes.

It was so nice to leisurely stroll the world showcase. If you are foodies, I would definitely try V&A as well. We are going there in October as well (provided we can get reservations). Only a long weekend this time. We are getting the QSDP this time so we can use the snacks for the food samples.

i am so excited to see so many of you have recommended Flying Fish and Narccosses.. Both of them are on my ADR's for our upcoming trip.. i am so excited to try both.. our son will be with us though.. he is really good in restaurants but I can't even imagine what it would be like to experience a 2 hour dinner just DH and I.. I don't think at the point the food would even matter..

I love all your choices!
