Hi! We have never been to WDW, and just had a week of vacation free up for us at the end of August. I have been pouring over information on this site as well as the resorts official website ALL day, but I don't know what the best choice for us would be. We grew up around Disneyland, so I have never not been able to walk from my hotel to a park, and am not sure how much of a hassle that is...

Kids are 9,8 and 6 and I have been considering Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary or Beach Club. Club Level Rooms are a must for us, so any input as far as experience and food is welcomed. I like the idea of the convenience of Contemporary, because I know my kids will love Magic Kingdom, but fear it may not be suitable for the kids.

Thank you for any and all input!!! I am booking tonight!

Have you confirmed availability of those options?

WL CL is in a temporary location right now, so that may be a factor. It also isn't walking to a park like CR or BC are.

What parks are your focus? If you're spending a bunch of time at Epcot/HS, BC is nice and has a better pool for August heat. CR is walking to MK, and has a perfectly adequate pool, but not the complex BC has.

With your kids, if available I'd say BC just for August + pool.

Thanks for replying! I have confirmed availability at all of those locations for our travel dates.

We are focusing on MK and Epcot, and the pool at BC has been a big draw since I started researching. Thanks for the info about WL CL as well!

Either wilderness lodge or beach..
If u like the outdoors stay at wilderness..

Contemporary really doesnt scream disney with the decor

I would say go with the Beach Club. Especially if your kids love swimming. Their club level has some of the nicest and most helpful cast members of all the club level resorts. The rooms have also been newly refurbished and look amazing.
You can also walk to lots of great restaurants, as well as Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Is Club level really worth it?? What is the reason it's more expensive?

My kids are around the same ages as yours... we stayed at beach club and loved it. We loved walking to epcot and hs. We also loved the pool. I think you have 3 great options. Let us know what you choose!

For a late August stay, I would really recommend the Beach Club. The CR pool is in desperate need of an overhaul.

With BC, you will be within walking and boating distance to two parks, tons of restaurants at all 5 EP resorts and have a fantastic pool. You can also head over to the Boardwalk at night for magicians and jugglers, carnival games, etc. It's just so much more lively in the EP resort area IMHO.

I would do Contemporary CL. Walk to MK, monorail, big rooms, classic Disney hotel. You'll all love it and their CL (in my ltd. experience with it) was AWESOME.

I would nix WL for this trip with the remodeling going on.

If the Star Wars fireworks or being close to World showcase in Epcot for meals in the evening are a draw for you then stay at BC on the Boardwalk. You'll be close enough to Epcot and DHS to end your days there anytime. Also the pool at Beach Club is incredible!

If the Magic Kingdom is the biggest draw then stay at the Contemporary. Having the monorail right inside your hotel and walking to the Magic Kingdom are really special memories for your kids to have.
