Hi -
Hope someone can help me understand how I can accomplish this .... here's the scenario:
We will be at BWV from Aug 25 through Sept 1. I have a 2BR booked for 8/26 thru 9/1. I'd really like to be in a 2BR on our arrival night also (8/25) but only have enough points to put us in 2 studios. I am 7 points short of having enough to change the 2 studios to a 2BR. (Yes, I am completely out of both 2005 and 2006 UY points .... time for another add-on, but that's another story !)
A friend of mine is a DVC owner as well as is willing to transfer me the 7 points I need to get the 2BR. She called MS this morning and they told her they can not transfer me the points to use because they are in her Aug 2006 UY.
When I spoke with MS this morining, they said that the transferred points had to go INTO my 2005 UY for me to be ble to use them, but said that it didn't matter what resort or UY the points were coming from that my friend would be transferring me. They said that 2005 points could go into my account immediately, but 2006 points would require a day or 2 to get into my account because they had to make a manual adjustment (?) .
Can anyone tell me if I have this wrong ? Why wouldn't MS let my friend transfer the points to me ?
They did tell her that she could make a reservation for me, though. Could I possibly transfer her the points that I am currently using for the 2 studios ? They are all considered 2005 UY points at this time since some were borrowed ....and then have her use mine plus 7 of hers to make a reservation for me for the 2BR ?
I hope you can follow this ... I really need some advice on how to do this ! I thought I understood it this morning ... but now I am confused
