Help needed figuring out the WDW transportation??

Is there a simple way to figure out how to get around WDW either by using car or buses? We are staying at BC so, I figure we will walk to EPCOT and MGM. But, what about when we need to go to multiple parks, DTD, or another resort for a meal?? Do they give you something when you check-in that helps with this, or is there something available before we leave? Do you get what I'm asking?? I don't have a clue about how long it takes to get from place to place! I am making PS's for breakfasts--but I want to make sure we will be able to get there!

There is a transportation brochure available at the WDW resorts. Buses are offered from BC to DD and MK. Boats or walking to Epcot and MGM. If you want to park hop there are buses at each park to get to the other locations. Buses to all parks are also available at the TTC. Epcot also has monorail service from the TTC. Resort hopping can be accomplished by going first to a park (or DD/PI) and hopping the appropriate resort bus from there. If you have a car all locations are available to car traffic.

Getting around using the Disney transportation isn't too bad, just allow plenty of time to prior to your PS.

A lot of factors go into calculating how long it takes. Sometimes you will get to the bus stop just as a bus in arriving, sometimes just as one is leaving.

On our trips, I always plan on 45 minutes to be on the safe side. We have never missed a PS with that planning. However, normally, we will be in the area that our PS is for anyway. If my PS is for Brown Derby, we will be in MGM. We tend not to do breakfast PS, so I am not sure about doing that with buses.

If you want to be sure you get there, drive or take a cab.

A driving map of the entire Walt Disney World is readily available, I think there is one in the regular transportation brochure as well. Driving in Disney World is no more difficult than in any city, in fact in Disney World it is easier because there are no places with closely spaced streets without street signs.

Resort to resort almost always needs a change of buses at a park, there are a few exceptions involving shared buses such as from All Star Sports to All Star MOvies (but not the other way) you can ask the driver if he is stopping at all three All Stars.
