Yes, were dining at CRT tonight. It was to be a special surprise for my girls. Im getting them all dressed up for it, and its pouring down, thundering, lightening. Thing is, the car park is miles away from MK, then you have to get the little train to the monorail, get the monorail to MK and then finally make our way to the castle. We will be drenched. Is there anyone that knows a shorter route.
Its so daft that MK car park is such a long way from the park!!!
Leaving in an hour, hope someone can help us. Thank you.

Buy ponchos at your resort gift shop and umbrellas, too.

If you're staying at a Disney resort, I'd take the bus to MK. If not, then I'd call a cab. Crossing my fingers that it stops raining by the time you leave!

Im staying outside of Disney. We havent yet found a way of getting as near to MK as possible, without having to do all that hard work.
We have ponchos, but its literally pouring, heavily. Last week we wore those in the same weather and still got soaked to the skin. We looked like we had been dunked in a bath. :)

Buy the umbrellas and ponchos but, also.....drop the kids and one parent off at the Poly and let them take the monorail over to MK. You will still have to get into the park from there but, it's not nearly as far. You may, possibly be able to get a visitor's parking pass for a few hours. You can get one if you are going to the Poly for a visit.;) Good luck!

Oh, I bet they are in a villa offsite, beings that she is from the UK.

One thing about FL weather, it can be pouting at Pop and sunny in the MK at the same time.

Yes were in a villa at davenport. We have noticed that in can be raining hard just 5 minutes away and sunny where we are. Wow, and I thought we had bad weather at home. :) Cant tell you how many times we have gotten to the front of the ride queues this week and they have stopped rides due to the weather. Well I have packed a spare set of clothes eash, just in case. I hate getting soaked. Hopefully it will brighten a little by then.

I hope you have a good time and don't get too wet! I was there for the Princess and Pirate party in March and we we're so soaked! I was lucky to have taken a change of clothes for dd and ds. Just cover in ponchos and umbrellas the best you can and high tail it as fast as you can! Don't forget the spare clothes, you'll be glad you packed them.
Let us know how it goes!

We get a lot of rain here during the summer/fall, so it's always a good idea to bring ponchos (the park ones are pricey). You can do better at Wal Mart or elsewhere.

Good luck!

Thanks for posting this thread... add two collapsible umbrellas to my packing list.

Sorry for all the rain - I know this won't help the situation any but did you know that the rain today is from rain bands coming off Hurricane Gustav? So in an way you can claim you were in a hurricane in your trip report :)

Central Florida

Gustav is spreading heavy rain over our area today. He is a massive hurricane heading toward the Gulf with a track still aiming at Louisiana. We will expect rain from him the rest of this weekend, meanwhile, Hanna will cause rougher surf and rip currents along our east coast.

Hope you made it to dinner fairly dry and had a wonderful time! :cutie:

I hope everything worked out for your dinner! But I just wanted to say how much I LOVE your signature photo from your wedding - it's great!

I hope you're having a great trip, rain and all!
