We're booked for one week July 1st, staying at CBR.
This will be our first trip as a family; our kids are boy, 9 1/2, and girl, 7.
Our son will celebrate his 10th birthday on July 3 during our trip ~
we're SO excited for this vacation!

I need to plan our schedule for the week and book our dining, I just
don't know where to begin.

Advice?

:)

It will be VERY crowded, so you want to plan well. I'd start with a book or two - I like Passporter and Unofficial Guide. I also signed up for Tourguide Mike, to get the best and worst days for each park. Get there at rope drop, make good use of fastpasses, and keep cool! Don't forget to make ADR's 90 days in advance.

I'd sign up for tour Guide Mike if I were you. It will help you determine what parks to go to on what days!

what about the other two ~ Unofficial Guide and Passporter?
Are they free and as good as Mike?

Unofficial Guide is a book with a companion website. The website is free with the book or $8.95 without it. It includes recommended park days that we always follow and MANY touringplans that we have found to be extremely helpful in minimizing lines and maximizing attractions.

I can't say enough about the UOG. The touring plans seem to be spot on, and the book is written by a group of researchers, so its not just one person's opinion. They actually have statisticians on staff to test all their touring plans. We love it.
