Ok....so my family and extended family are going down from 12/26-1/2 this year. We have never visited during the holidays, and even though the crowds will be crazy, we are super excited to be down there during the holiday excitement!! :yay: :yay:

There are 9 adults and 1 infant in our party, and 5 adults in another party (extended family, aunts/uncles). We have chosen where we would like to eat each day/night for ADRs, and I can call Friday morning to make the ressie's. My questions are.....

*Will I be able to make an ADR for 9 adults and 1 infant?
*Will I be allowed to make our ressie for 9 +1 infant, and then the other 5 adults at the same time?
*Should I have back-up restaurants for each meal?

Any other tips/suggestions??? I have never made ADR's for so many people during such a crazy time of year!! :upsidedow

My understanding is that you can start making reservations 180 days out (which you know!). If you have a reservation on-site, you can make 10 days' worth of reservations at the 180 days. I guess I really don't know the answer to the rest of your question--I would guess that you can make reservations for 9 at one restaurant, but if the other part of your group wants to eat somewhere else, I don't know if you can make their reservations for them. We are going at pretty much the same time, and the only reservation I am concerned about, and have a back-up for, is LeCellier.

Thanks CoolMickster! Ya - I am just not sure if I could make the other party's ressie's for them, or if they would have to call? I guess I could put our two groups together and make one big ressie (for 14....yikes!:scared: ). Should I be going through the Magical Gatherings people I wonder..... :scratchin .....maybe someone here will know.....

If both groups are going to be eating at the same places/times, I would just go ahead and book for 14 (I made all our Christmas ADR's last week for our group of 15). Booking the whole group together is probably the only way you will be able to get the same times. One possible drawback to this is that the group of 5 will then have an automatic 18% tip added to their bill (this applies to groups of 8 or more). If you try to book two separate groups, I do not know if Dining will let you make reservations for the other group. I would definitely have a back-up restaurant in case something is unavailable or have a plan as to switching days for a particular restaurant.
