Do you have a younger child as well? I think that the older one would probably be fine just jumping in for a few minutes here and there while the younger one gets a chance to stretch his or her legs.
I have twins that are 4 and an older daughter who is seven. We have a maclaren double stroller that we bring places for the twins (DS is autistic and will use the stroller to "hide" from crowds and noise). My younger daughter will sit with her twin most of the time but she likes to get out and walk and my oldest will take the opportunity to hop in and ride. It works out well and that's our plan for WDW on our next trip. Oldest DD does have asthma and can sometimes get wiped out really easily and if she does then we will just suck it up and rent a stroller for her but I think we may be okay with just the one and the kids taking turns.
If that doesn't work for you I'd probably look into one of the offsite rental places. I wouldn't buy one only for WDW unless you can find a good deal secondhand or through ebay
